We are looking for a Freelance Producer to manage the on-set responsibilities of our growing list of projects. This role will require the critical skills needed to ensure every task stays on schedule. Not only will you be managing a set, but you will also be the key go-to person between us and our clients. You must be able to cultivate these relationships, while keeping cool under pressure.
The Freelance Producer will be hired on a part-time/as needed basis, but has the potential of leading to a full-time position.

Our close-knit team of 10 works with our roster of creative partners (directors, writers, cinematographers, and other bright creatives) allowing us to provide our clients with a customized crew to fit their unique needs. The ideal candidate will really know our industry, especially the ins and outs of storytelling through commercial production. They will also get excited about the lasting impact well-executed new media/branded content can make in the marketplace.

We have a stellar full-time Head of Production who will build the crews and detailed budgets for our projects. It will be the responsibility of the Freelance Producer to both lead these crews, and ensure every project stays on budget.
Although able to work from any location of your choosing, you will be free to come work at our studio as well. Red Productions has all the trappings of a 21st century creative office: dogs, a kegerator, fun music streaming for most of the day and open workspaces. We also have quiet time to dig in and focus. This position will work primarily throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area, but jobs will often require travel as well.
Responsibilities/Expectations
- Manage and lead a crew throughout the day to day responsibilities of a production
- Serve as a primary on-set contact for Clients to ensure relationships are being nurtured and their needs are being met
- Gain a clear understanding of Company capabilities and become conversant on a range of new media and video production topics
- Although not always required, must be capable of translating client needs into well-structured briefs that lay foundation for production team
- Maintain continuous knowledge of project status and reporting processes
- Possess critical skills to run a project within its respective budget
- Ability and motivation to carry out responsibilities with minimal direction
- 3-5 years experience with an agency and/or production company
