## Creative Spotlight: James Burgess "Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell"

We have exciting news from one of our creatives, James Burgess, and wanted to share a bit on his project "Somewhere Between Heaven & Hell."

"The short film SOMEWHERE BETWEEN HEAVEN & HELL, is my first experience lensing a project for the LA Film Prize in Shreveport, Louisiana. It's a poignant look at two aging friends each facing their own end of life problems: a failing heart valve, a potentially cancerous prostrate, and the secrets each has been carrying.

It was selected as a 'Top 20' finalist, placing it in competition for the $50,000 Grand Prize and a 'Best Actor' nomination for Keith Rushing, a Producer of the film.

Part flashback, 'dream' and current story time, the film gave me the opportunity to capture images in distinctly diverse and challenging locations: flat farmland under a blazing sun, dark and smoky bar, hospital exam room, graveyard and a 1968 Chevrolet El Camino interior.

It was a pleasure to work with gifted actors Keith Rushing and Tommy G Kendrick, and director Andrew Librizzi. Together, I believe we provided another example that some of the most talented people in the business live in Texas."
