Lone Star International Film Festival 2010 | Movie Logic

It’s finally Fall in Fort Worth and with it comes the 4th Annual Lone Star International Film Festival. Each year Lone Star Film Society boasts incredible films, panels and events during the festival and this one is shaping up to be the best yet.

For the last two years Red Productions has created the theatrical trailer and sponsor reel that precedes each screening. It is a great opportunity to support Lone Star and the Fort Worth film community. The concept for this year is regular, everyday people using “movie logic” to solve life’s quandaries. Written by Andrew Disney, Sam Parnell and Jared Knight and cast from talent in DFW as well as Houston and Oklahoma, the trailer was broken up into three separate stories. Andrew, Sam and Jared took three highly regarded movies and created comedic vignettes around each one to creatively display the LSIFF Sponsors and introduce each film.

From the time the three scripts were complete, a mere 39 hours lapsed and the team was assembled, cast secured, locations locked and cameras were ready to roll. Over the course of two and a half days the cast and crew worked tirelessly to bring these scripts to life. “I always look forward to working on the LSIFF bumpers each year, it really lets us stretch our creative muscles and think out of the box,” said Sam Parnell, editor for Red Productions. This year Sam stepped outside his post in the editing bay and helped write and direct the bumpers.

Come out to the festival from November 10-14 to catch the other two along with a great line up of features from top specialty film distributors and filmmakers.
